How beautiful is Motorally guys! Another year at the Italian Championship ends, this time with a new bike, the Honda CRF 450 Rally RS of the RS Moto team. They were spectacular races (the only regret is having missed the stage in Abruzzo). Wonderful routes and lots of navigation with the roadbook. The final icing was the superlative Sardinia, with long specials, zero asphalt and perfect logistics taken care of by the Moto Club Insolita Sardegna directed by Antonio Scanu. I thank all the riders I raced with, from the champions to the 2024 rookies, who make the Motorally environment special and unique. A special thanks to my team (to the boss Simone Agazzi, but also to Sergio, Luca, Mattia, Giovanni), to Honda and to the companies and friends who supported me. Now my CRF points its windshield towards Africa: the Africa Eco Race awaits us, starting from Monte Carlo on December 28th. The race report DAY 1 First day of the Italian Raid TT Championship in splendid Sardinia. Today, alternating rain and sun with a crazy surface that gave a lot of grip; the stage included a total of 220 km of lap with two tests of 40 km each, with an interval between the first and the second of about 40 minutes. It was an amazing race, studied to perfection by the Moto Club Insolita Sardegna. The Honda CRF 450 Rally RS today was truly fantastic and with it we ended the day in fifth place in the category reserved for African motorcycles, with large tanks. Now, however, it is time to study the roadbook and go to sleep early, because tomorrow will be even tougher! A 274 km lap awaits us, with a special test of almost 100 km. DAY 2 Italian Motorally Championship in Sardinia, second day! Today a stage of 274 km with a unique special test, of 94.7 km ‼️ The first part with very fast dirt roads with full fifth gear, while the second part is very enduro in the legendary Burgos forest. Today I was doing well, but towards the end I lost concentration and made two gross navigation errors (translated: I grazed for a while before finding the right direction). Errors that made me drop from fifth to seventh position. Tomorrow third and final day of this beautiful closing round of the Italian championship, masterfully organized by the Moto Club Insolita Sardegna and the Italian Motorcycle Federation. DAY 3 Third and final day of the Italian Motorally Championship ???????? 160 km with 67 km of BEAUTIFUL special! Despite the rain, the surface held up great and we found all the rally specialties: sand, fast, slow, stones.
