Indonesia's economy in the second quarter of 2024 grew by 5.05% annually (yoy) and 3.79% quarterly (q-to-q) but in the third quarter of 2024 it fell to 4.95% year on year (yoy). Previously, Indonesian President Prabowo targeted economic growth at 8%. Handaka said that all components of expenditure also experienced positive growth, the largest contributor from the Household Consumption sector which grew by 4.91% and became the highest source of growth.
