- Biological therapy is the first causal treatment, which consists in inhibiting the signaling pathway that leads to the development of the inflammatory process and the influx of eosinophils into the nasal mucosa and paranasal sinuses. We target strategic points, i.e. interleukin four, five and thirteen, to inhibit them and reduce the final effect of the inflammatory cells' activity - explained in an interview with Medexpress prof. dr hab. n. med. Wioletta Pietruszewska, head of the Department and Clinic of Otolaryngology and Oncological Laryngology at the Medical University of Lodz.
