Heinrich Schödl was born on September 4, 1945 in Lang-Lammnitz, Luditz district; today he lives in Stockstadt am Rhein. In the film, he talks about his family's expulsion from the Sudetenland in 1946. His family comes from Lang-Lammnitz (now Dlouhá Lomnice, Czech Republic) and was expelled from the Sudetenland in 1946. Like many others, the family had to pack up their belongings within 24 hours. In his home there are many items from the escape at that time, such as Madonna figures, but also stones from his family's burned-down farm, as well as building plans and photographs. With his Catholic faith, Heinrich Schödl was one of the few Catholics in Stockstadt am Rhein in Hesse. He talks about his difficult school days, and often had to experience discrimination because of his Catholic faith. He also talks about how, as a teenager, he helped to build the first Catholic church (Catholic Church of Mary, Queen of Peace) in Stockstadt. Schödl uses numerous escape documents to trace the expulsion of his parents, his brother and himself. His sister died in childhood in Lang-Lammnitz. Until his father's death in 1956, the family talked about returning to their old homeland. In cooperation with Harald Kuntze. Supported by the Hessian Ministry of the Interior and for Sport.
