To the Taza region, our research led us to try to solve one of the mysteries of Moroccan nature during one of its ancient times. What we will explore this time, during this trip, remains a precedent; not only in the history of scientific discoveries in the Taza region, nor even in the entire Maghreb, but in the whole of North Africa. It concerns the fossil of a marine reptile that disappeared millions of years ago inside a deep and exceptional cave that was not explored until after Morocco’s independence, called Al-Sha’ra. Other archaeological finds are skeletons that we came across inside a submerged natural well, which belonged to one of Morocco’s extinct bears.
