On the road is a gastronomic travelogue in which we visit interesting Slovaks living abroad for a long time and through their eyes we imagine new and well-known locations and the local traditions associated with them. Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands, located as an autonomous region of Spain in the Atlantic Ocean. Living by the sea and a job opportunity also brought Dalibor from Trenčín here three years ago. Dalibor is a fantastic chef who lived in Latin America for 12 years. After trying to live in Slovakia, he received an offer to open a restaurant on this Spanish island. Together with his family, he found a new home here and also achieved considerable professional success. We will start our journey in the capital of the island - Santa Cruz. The local market reveals the color of the country. We will visit a mill where gofio (flour from roasted grains) is milled, a cactus farm, taste local wine and since grilling is Dalibor's parquet, we will also enjoy meat.
