Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral was built in 1877, completed in 1880 and originally called Saigon Church. In 1959, the statue of Our Lady of Peace was placed on the pedestal in front of the church, from which the church was renamed Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral. This is a very famous building in Ho Chi Minh City today.
