Hiking with PSD Prenj Mostar, 11-12. August 2018. Vranica is a gentle mountain with lots of pastures and surface waters, and it is also the most famous mining mountain in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in central Bosnia, between the rivers Vrbasa and Bosna, and the towns of Gornji Vakuf and Fojnica. Lake Prokoško is located at an altitude of 1,636 m above sea level, and a macadam road about 22 km long leads to it from Fojnica.
