The Gepard anti-aircraft tank was developed in the former West Germany during the Cold War. It is a combat vehicle equipped with an anti-aircraft radar and a 35mm machine gun. During the Cold War, it played an important role in eliminating aerial threats for NATO armored forces, but with the development of anti-aircraft missiles, it gradually retired from the front line.
