Treating both pedophilia and sexually abused children is a particularly complicated psychological, psychiatric, and psychotherapeutic challenge. How to define pedophilia? What is a pedophilic act? What is the basis of pedophilia? Does this issue also apply to women? What are the consequences for a person committing a pedophilic act? Can pedophiles be helped psychologically and cured?
