Build an entire house out of building bricks? What sounds like a child's dream at first is soon to become reality according to Max Wörner from the Stuttgart area. Together with architect Werner Grosse, he has developed a modular wood construction system that is set to revolutionize the construction industry. The individual wood building blocks, the so-called "bricks", are to be stacked on top of each other like conventional bricks. The highlight - a plug-in system based on the same principle as Lego building blocks is to ensure stability: one brick is to be put on top of the other and then fixed with several wooden dowels. In the future, buildings of any size should be able to be built this way. In order to conserve resources, Max only wants to use damaged and weak wood for his building blocks - wood that would otherwise be burned. How stable is the method?
