The Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Moscow presents an anniversary interview with Yova Yordanova, a renowned Bulgarian violin teacher and author of textbooks used to teach young musicians all over the world. The audience will be presented with concert recordings of Yova Yordanova and her famous students, including her son Pavel Minev, a laureate of international competitions and a representative of Bulgarian violinists in the world's top list of Great Artists. Yova Yordanova was born in Pleven (Bulgaria), graduated with honors from the Pancho Vladigerov Bulgarian National Academy of Music in violin, and then continued her musical education in the graduate school of the Kyiv State Conservatory. Yordanova taught violin in Pleven, the Tunisian and Belarusian conservatories. Currently, she lives and works in Moscow. For many years, she taught students at the Moscow Conservatory named after Tchaikovsky and students of the Central Music School at the Moscow Conservatory, and now teaches at the A.D. Artobolevskaya Music School. Yova Yordanova is a laureate of State Prizes and awards, she was awarded diplomas for excellent musical and pedagogical work at international competitions. Ten of her students are laureates of all-Russian and international competitions, soloists of the international charity program "New Names", concertmasters of chamber orchestras under the direction of Vladimir Spivakov and Yuri Bashmet.
