Misburg, near Hanover, offers the widest range of fossils in Germany. If you want to go fossil hunting on holiday, you've come to the right place. On the hunt for fossils, we went beyond the usual beach suspects (belemnites, fossil sea urchins, corals) and looked for a very special sponge - the sun sponge. After collecting, came the preparation. In the second part of the video you can see both my and Peter's prepared finds. You can also find many of the fossils in the Baltic Sea, but Misburg promises excellent preservation.
