On February 13, Andrei Golov (1954-2008) would have turned 68. He was and remains a wonderful poet and erudite. The memorial evening is dedicated to his poetry. The evening will feature poems reflecting a wide range of his poetic interests. Poems born under the influence of Russian culture of the times of Peter the Great and immemorial antiquity, which is reconstructed and resurrected in the poet’s soul under the influence of eternally relevant Christian and medieval images and values, as well as the burning topicality of the problems among which the poet lived. Let us return to the times when Andrei Golov was with us and gathered many talented poets and translators at the same table, let us hear the poet’s voice again… The evening will feature poems from the last months of his life in the spirit of the tradition he laid down.
