How did Macedonian poetry begin? What did the first Macedonian poetesses write about, what were their breakthroughs and achievements? Why was female poetry in Macedonia misunderstood for a long time and how are things now? 🔸Vincent Vilcnik, a Slavic philologist, will talk to the audience about Macedonian female poetry, its main themes, motifs, stylistic features and intertextuality, based on the anthology "Ova e moeto posledno molchenje - a panorama of current modern Macedonian poetry". This anthology was published in Macedonia in 2016 and is of great importance for modern literary criticism. 📚 According to Vincent Vilcnik, the anthology speaks about the value of the work of Macedonian poetesses, who were forced to remain silent for many years, and allows them to be heard and understood by readers from all over the world.
