With the advent of communism, this state became the driving force of our architecture, first directing it towards socialist realism, and then modernism. But what would Łódź have looked like if the war had ended differently? The Reich did not wait for the end of the conflict to develop a vision of rebuilding our city. It began to implement it from the first day of the occupation.
