GAIA MESIAH A band that energizes its fans - that's how gave a brief description of these formations consisting of three women and one man. She performed for the first time in Prague's Futurum club on 12/12/2001, and since then the number of her fans has grown exponentially. The founding members - drummer Míša M. and guitarist Santa Morella - found common ground in the bands Panika and Rage Against The Machine revival in 1998. The gradual creation of Gaia Mesiah's songs dates back to that time. Singer Marka Rybin was discovered by Misha in a park in Prague, and Australian bassist Josh Stewart literally fell from the sky and after several exchanges landed in the band and in the Czech Republic. They themselves characterize their music as "cross - country military", the characteristic name "frantic crossover" appeared in the press. Between the hardcore riffs, Latin, country, punk rock, blues, funky, nu-metal, reggae flash... Together they started a rocket that the professional public evaluates as "vibrant, unrestrained, independent, radical, explosive, etc." You can certainly recognize the years in Marka Rybin's acrobatic performances athletic training, but the voice register is unclassifiable – tender fistulas are replaced by a guttural metallic growl, which the skeptics mistake for a voice modulator. The debut album "Gaia Mesiah" was released in samizdat in 2003, but it can be said that it is actually the band's first demo. In the winter of 2005, the group signed a contract with Universal, and after working with producer George Eric, the album "Ocean" was released in May of the same year. The single "Maňana" received a video clip directed by Vladimír Michálek. The second regular album "Alpha Female" (2007) is the result of the collaboration between the band and Jaz Coleman, the legendary producer, composer and frontman of Killing Joke. In the spring of 2008, the band ended its activities, but after a longer hiatus, it returned to the Czech stages with a successful comeback in the fall of 2016. The original fans did not forget about it, and Gaia Mesiah rewarded them in early 2019 with the new album "Excellent Mistake", which was created in the Golden Hive studio, partly under the baton of Amák Golden. Matěj Říha directed the video clips for the songs "Království" and "Tam to svet je". Charged with new energy, they also decided to re-record some of the older material with a more modern sound and mainly in one go - almost "live".
