Long-term residency is the residency granted to foreigners who have been living in Spain legally and continuously for 5 years. It will allow you to live and work indefinitely in Spanish territory, and is renewed every 5 years. It is undoubtedly a very useful card, and offers the following advantages: ✅ It is not necessary to demonstrate sufficient financial means or to be working at the time of the application ✅ It can be easily recovered, since in case it expires (due to being outside Spain for more than the permitted time) you can get your card again with relative ease ✅ It will allow you to reunite with your parents over 65 years of age ✅ It allows you to work both as an employee and as a self-employed person, and to do both at the same time ✅ You can apply for it electronically (online) The requirements to apply for it are very simple: ▶️ No criminal record ▶️ Have lived in Spain for 5 years legally, without having left for more than 10 months in total and no more than 6 months in a row ▶️ Have a valid (temporary) residence card ▶️ Submit the EX-11 application form ▶️ On the day you pick up the card, you will have to pay the corresponding fee, which costs €20.60 ???? Once the application has been submitted, the administration has a period of 90 days to issue a response (if you do not receive notification, the application is approved by positive administrative silence).
