Jagannath Das's brother-in-law instructs his son to listen to Srimad Bhagavat in Sanskrit in verse form. As the widowed mother was hoping to hear Krishna's words in the hope of saving her from old age, Jagannath started reciting the poem chapter by chapter to fulfill the wish of Dasa Janani. That poem took the form of Bhagavat Granth.
