BAUHAUS workshop moderator Liam wants to put up a drywall to turn one large room into two smaller ones. After measuring and drawing the future wall made of plasterboard, he gets to work with the help of Susanne and Marcus. CW, UW and UA profiles are cut and positioned and - where necessary - attached. Once that's done, it's the turn of the plasterboard. These are also cut to the right size and screwed to the CW profiles. Here it is sometimes important to pay attention to the correct joint offset. Once one side is completely paneled, sockets and light switches can be prepared before the inside of the stud wall is lined with glass wool for insulation. Once that is done, the second side of the drywall is also paneled with plasterboard. Then it's time to fill the joints between the panels and the screw holes. Usually several passes are necessary, with drying times to be observed between them. Finished filling? Then it's sanded and sanded some more until the filler and plasterboard are really smooth. Only then can wallpaper or even paint be applied.
