They all share one goal: to become part of the Foreign Legion. A total of 9,000 elite soldiers belong to the Foreign Legion. But the selection process for volunteers is difficult. Little sleep, rationed food, daily drills and tough physical tests. Around 10,000 men apply every year, but only around 1,600 of them pass the entrance tests. Many of them are looking for a second chance and hope for a better life through a job as an elite soldier. Our documentary accompanies four of them through the tough selection process: the Chilean David del Solar de la Sotta, the Croatian Alan Gracin, the Frenchman Adrien Macquart and the Malagasy Navola Rakotoson. Will they all manage to be accepted into the Foreign Legion?
