https://t.me/andy_wild_fishing - my Telegram channel where I share my experience and knowledge, subscribe! My fishing adventures with friends along the rivers of Karelia. Last autumn was difficult for many, but despite all the difficulties, my friends and I managed to go on several trips along our favorite rivers of Karelia in search of trophy salmon and pike. Our main goal was to catch salmon in Karelia with a spinning rod, but, as often happens, pike is caught more often than the target fish, so we combined them. In general, Karelian pike, even small ones of 1-2 kilograms, bend a salmon spinning rod into an arc no worse than salmon. In the first seconds of landing, only one thought is spinning in my head: salmon or pike?! For me, this is one of the most emotional fishing trips of the season, which I really look forward to every year. Trophy spinning fishing is a very exciting activity, but not for everyone, since you can travel for months in search of your trophy, but never meet it. I am deliberately prepared for such a result, so for me, adventures along the wild rivers of Karelia in search of that one and only cherished bite of a trophy, which will cover everything at once, are much more interesting. Preparation for such fishing alone is already a whole adventure: searching for information and materials, preparing your spinning rods, reels and baits. With the latter - wobblers and spoons, everything is very difficult, since you catch little and there is practically no information about which baits work and which do not; you have to analyze the insignificant experience of catches and, based on it, draw conclusions and build hypotheses about which other baits will suit the fishing conditions and can bring a bite of the cherished trophy. As for gear, even in the case of catching trophy salmon and pike with a spinning rod, I am a supporter of light gear. Last autumn I used two spinning rods with a test of up to 12 and up to 18 grams, given that most of the planned rivers and locations were rapids and with a large number of snags, and the potential size of the trophy could reach 10 kilograms. Apparently I'm an adrenaline junkie and a thrill-seeker 😁 See the full description of the gear below 👇🏻 My gear: Spinning rod #1 - M-Aire TB-63HS Hokkaido 3.0-18.0g Spinning rod #2 - Ito Craft EXC630LM 3.0-12.0g Reel - Shimano 18 Cardiff CI4+ C3000MHG Monofilament line - Varivas Super Trout Advance Big Trout #2/0.235mm/10Lb My fishing adventures: Trophy fishing in Karelia - • Fishing in Karelia Fishing in the mountains of Turkey - • Fishing in the mountains of Turkey My Instagram: / andywildangler ----- #fishing #spinningfishing #trophyfishing #karelia #spinning #fishing #spinning #troutfishing #salmonfishing #pike #salmon
