Today we will see an exercise of addition and subtraction of 3 fractions with different denominators or heterogeneous fractions. ✔️ More fractions videos: • Fractions ???? Become a member here: / @matemovil In this problem, we are asked to calculate 5/6 - 3/8 + 5/12, you will see that it is a simple exercise. These 3 fractions have different denominators, so, we are going to start by calculating the least common multiple of the denominators. This LCM of the denominators is called the least common denominator. Then, we are going to divide the LCM of the denominators by the denominator of the first fraction, and we multiply the result by the numerator of said fraction. We repeat the steps with the second and third fraction. Finally, we add or subtract the values obtained to get to the result. In this case, we are going to simplify the resulting fraction to get to the answer. See you in the next fraction class. ????
