Hey, in this episode of the Postwar series I will tell you about the fate of Otto Skorzeny after 1945. Hitler's commando was caught by the Allies, but he was not convicted, but sent to a denazification center. Then, thanks to the help of his friends from the SS, he managed to escape. Then he wandered around Europe looking for shelter from justice. First he went to Austria, then Italy and Spain. In the following years, he first established cooperation with the West German services, and then with the governments in Argentina, Egypt and, surprisingly, Israel. A former close associate of Hitler, he was supposedly terrified when he received a job offer from Mossad agents. You will learn more by watching the latest episode of the Postwar series.
