As a child, he moved with his parents to Palmas (TO), where the family decided to go on missions. His conversion experience happened at the age of eight, at a family gathering. Since he was a child, he has been involved with music within the church, learning to play several instruments. At the age of 16, he participated in a conference in Sumaré, called “Worship and Worshipers”. There, God used several people to bring words about his calling. A turning point was when Pastor Massao Suguihara shared about his children’s surrender to the mission field. At that moment, his mother took him to the front and they prayed a prayer of surrender. In 2007, Salazar moved to Belo Horizonte (MG) to study Praise and Worship at CTMDT (Diante do Trono Ministerial Training Center). While still a student, he was part of the band CTMDT, recording the CD/DVD There Will Be No Limits, his first recording experience. At the Training Center, the singer and composer met his wife, Priscila. His first participation with the band Diante do Trono was on the album Tua Visão, in 2009. Israel Salazar also did a duet with Ana Paula Valadão on the CDs Creio (2012) and Tu Reinas (2014).
