Towards Lake Geneva, visit the Italian and Austrian South Tyrol .....................TOPO OF THE DAY ..................... Day 18 will be the visit of the South of the Italian Tyrol with several super cute little villages like Santa Maddalena, Mongelfo Tesido and just magnificent landscapes in this Italian region. We will take the cable car to Ortisei - on the mountain plateau of the Alpe di Siusi, the sunniest part of the Dolomites. It is also the largest Alpine pasture in Europe and a breathtaking mountain landscape and is composed of the Gruppo del Sella, the Gruppo del Sassolungo, the Catinaccio and the Sciliar surrounding the Alpe di Siusi. To take it, go to the village of Val Gardena. You have the possibility to take a round trip ticket or just a round trip or even to go up and down on foot! In the evening we will eat a pizza in Ortlet and we will sleep in a parking lot in Glorenza. The next day we will do a multitude of passes on the way to Lake Geneva. Really do not hesitate to do this road which is just amazing. We left from Glorenza-then: Zernez - Samedan - Saint Moritz - Albura/Alvra - Bonadus - Oberalpass - Thun - The landscapes are magnificent in this part of the Austrian Tyrol with snow-capped mountains, a glacier, waterfalls to rain, and just enormous flora and fauna.
