Prof. Dr. Ernst Ulrich von Weizsäcker, co-president of the Club of Rome and opening speaker of the scientific symposium "On the move. Nowhere at home?", introduces the topic of migration and growth with his lecture "On the move (by force) to a new enlightenment". He presents the project of the "Club of Rome" association, addresses the economy, as well as the limits of the climate and biodiversity, and uses numerous examples to illustrate "that if we are 'on the move' today, we will hardly be able to avoid expecting and even wishing for a new enlightenment". Musical accompaniment will be provided by Angelika Metzler (clarinet, vocals) and Christoph Obert (accordion, vocals) with Roma and Klezma music. The event took place on April 22, 2016 as part of the 23rd European Culture Days Karlsruhe in the Citizens' Hall of the Karlsruhe City Hall. More information: http://www.zak.kit.edu/ekt.php
