In 2008 he published his first research on the 'multistage nanodelivery system', which was given the honor of cover story by Nature Nanotechnology. The study was also selected by Nature Medicine as one of the "Top 5 breakthroughs in Nanomedicine". In 2010 he was appointed co-Chair of the Department of Nanomedicine at the Houston Methodist Research Institute.
