The resident’s sensitivity to reusing materials and valuing nature set the tone for the 1950s building he revitalized – now the spaces are more open and focused on greenery. In addition to transforming the old cement patio into this breathtaking garden, Fabio highlighted elements of the original architecture that were kept even after the renovation, such as the doors and windows he used to create new furniture full of personality. In his home, the resident keeps memories of his Minas Gerais roots and also lets himself be captivated by the history of the building itself, with its wooden structure and exposed bricks. Fascinated by gold prospecting and the redefinition of objects, many pieces in the house are creative inventions by Fabio, such as a blender that was turned into a lamp or a trunk that functions as a side table.
