Many Brazilians dream of a career as a federal police officer. But what does an average citizen need to do to become a member of the institution? In addition to passing a public exam, candidates undergo training at the National Police Academy, the ANP, in Brasília. The police officer training stage is the subject of the first episode of the series “Os Federais”. The program’s team visits the facilities of the National Police Academy and talks to the institution’s professors, who are responsible for training new police officers, in addition to attending some of the classes given to newcomers, who will often have their first contact with firearms and with the police approach and investigation techniques that are part of the daily routine of the Federal Police.
