At the end of October 2024, cameraman Alexander Subbotin and I spent one day in Severodonetsk. This city is located 100 km from Luhansk and 15 km from the current line of combat contact. In 2022, more than 90% of the buildings in this young city (founded in 1934) were damaged. Severodonetsk is a large city, with 110-120 thousand people living here at its peak. Currently, about 40 thousand citizens are registered in the city, but this number is constantly growing. Today, both local authorities and construction organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Construction of Russia, as well as from the principal region - Perm Krai, are working on the restoration of the city. In this story, I talk to builders, ordinary citizens and the head of the city. I recorded my story about the trip on camera on the way back. Many thanks to Russian builders for their work Update: in the story I mispronounced the name Liskhimstroy - I apologize for the inaccuracy Contents: 00:00 On the road to Severodonetsk 02:16 Meeting Maxim Prilipkin 04:05 Sports school 05:54 Residential area on Nauki street 07:31 "A hole on a hole, a mine on a mine" 11:36 "Sadko" swimming pool 12:42 Important explanation about the people in the frame 13:29 At the intersection of Gvardeysky Prospekt and Kurchatov Street 15:40 "Pass it on to Moscow."
