Kyodo Station on the Odakyu Line has an irregular layout. It is an intermediate station on a quadruple track section, but only the up line has a passing track. Since there is no passing track on the down line, down trains pass through on the track adjacent to platform 2 (inner track/express track). Since the up line has an irregular layout, you can see many trains switching tracks. The switching track of the up line commuter semi-express, where Odakyu's specialty "Amidakuji Running" takes place, is also a highlight (from 7:46 in the video). It is also interesting to see the up line express train switching to platform 3, which has a platform, and then switching back to the express track (inner track) (from 1:36 in the video, 4:02 in the video). Another highlight is the way the track layout is designed so that the traffic of these trains does not conflict with the traffic of trains going from outer track to platform 4 to outer track. It's interesting to see the commuter semi-express switch from the inside track to the outside track at Kyodo Station, but it's also interesting to see the trains following behind the commuter semi-express catch up (from 14:46 in the video). I'm impressed with Odakyu's quadruple track timetable. I'm always amazed at how they have a timetable that uses the inside and outside tracks so freely and acrobaticly.
