Historie Strażów Hitlerowskich Skarbów" (Wydawnictwo Znak). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ???? About the book: Winter 1945 - World War II is coming to an end. Poles who are in Lower Silesia come across post-German "treasures". In home hiding places and deposits, they find works of art, discover porcelain and jewelry bricked up in the walls of houses. Joanna Lamparska enters the hermetic world of seekers. In archives, she finds dramatic stories of crimes committed for gold, tracks the mafia trading in documents of SS officers, talks to the children of "treasure guardians". Together with readers, she explores underground facilities and palaces where works of art are hidden. It shows that after the end of World War II, the fight did not stop at all. A race against time begins in the "Polish treasure fever". Although it is hard to believe, all the stories described in this book really happened. ???? About the author: Polish writer, journalist.
