We had the joy of participating in a true immersion with the writer, communicator, pedagogue, doctor in education and post-doctoral student in Sociology. Also known as Preta de Rodinhas, she studies race relations, education, feminism and Catholicism. She is the author of the book “What They Didn't Tell You About the Anti-Racist Movement”, a conservative and Catholic, in addition to teaching an online course on Racism, Race and Culture. The course was created due to the scarcity of information available on the subject, thus offering the opportunity to unveil the hidden aspects of religion and break with the Eurocentric and prejudiced narrative that has obscured the vast racial and cultural diversity present in Catholicism over the centuries. In this way, understanding cultural and racial plurality within Catholicism will not only help combat religious discrimination, but will also allow us to appreciate the depth and complexity of this faith, which can promote greater respect and tolerance between different cultures and religions (according to Patrícia's own website).
