MetroTV, Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration and Corrections, Yusril Ihza Mahendra, stated that he will conduct an investigation regarding the 7 prisoners who escaped from Salemba Prison, Central Jakarta. After the escape of 7 prisoners from Salemba Prison, members of Commission 13 of the Indonesian House of Representatives conducted a surprise inspection at Salemba Prison, Thursday, (11/14/2024). Members of the Council found a number of problems, ranging from the prison being over capacity to the non-functioning CCTV at the scene.
