As part of its consultation on work, Saturday March 9 at 2:30 p.m., the La Boétie Institute is organizing the first chair of Danièle Linhart: "From Taylor to modern management: alienated work" Suffering at work is far from being abolished. Physical suffering is on the rise. But also isolation, loss of meaning, and the feeling of being lost in the face of changing management injunctions and the cruel lack of room for maneuver. Even among executives, job offers include sports classes, massages and team building sessions, but few positions offer training and autonomy. For the sociologist of work Danièle Linhart, this situation owes much to "Taylorism". This first chair will therefore be an opportunity for Danièle Linhart to return to the way in which Taylorism established itself as a dominant doctrine in companies during the 20th century, and to the way in which it influences salaried work today.
