✍️ Amendment: Freud was an Austrian. Freud's theory of psychosexual development states that during our development we go through five important stages that are defined by our sexual stimulus known as sexual instinct. Freud believed that children are influenced by the "institution" and demand instant gratification. "Superego" grows gradually around the age of seven, and as a result, we want to become a good moral citizen and gain the satisfaction of others. The "self" is formed during adolescence to balance these two forces. Due to the optimal satisfaction of the focus of the sexual instinct, our three mental components may be under control or out of balance, which leads to addictions, nervous disorders and sexual deviations. ----- Freud's theory of Psychosexual Development claims that as we grow up, we pass through five critical phases, defined by our sexual drive, also called libido, concentrating on specific erogenous zones. Freud claimed that young children are driven by the id and demand immediate satisfaction. At around age seven, we begin to develop a superego and want to become good moral citizens and please others. The ego is formed with adolescence to balance the two forces. Depending on the appropriate satisfaction of the focus of our libido, the three components of our mind may be kept in or thrown out of balance, leading to addictions, neuroses, and perversions. ___ Translation and dubbing at Kavan Innovation Center https://instagram.com/kavan.innovatio...
