Watch and experience Anders Højberg Kamp in conversation with Uffe Lorenzen about Lydsyn's new album "Højspänt." Lydsyn pays tribute to the protest and Copenhagen's originals. Everything is turned up on the new Lydsyn album, which has very appropriately been given the title "Højspänt". Uffe Lorenzen (Spids Nøgenhat/Baby Woodrose) on guitar/vocals, Palle Demant (Hjortene/The Sledge) on bass and Jens Eyde on drums have visited the Sweet Silence studio with Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica, Gasolin, Black Sol) at the helm, and a potent rock record has come out of it. Contrary to the previous album from 2022, "Højspient" is a band album. Uffe Lorenzen has still written the lyrics, but all members have contributed to the songwriting, and the controversies that may arise in that connection have given the band a slightly different sound. Lydsyn is a tight playing power trio that is dedicated to the purely analogue sound experience, free of backing tracks, clicks, auto-tune and "all the other shit", as they put it themselves. On "Højspendt" they have chosen the hard way, where the songs are even more direct than on the debut record. The hard rock has been turned up and the psychedelic tendencies down. Despite the booms and bangs, many of the songs also have a catchy side that threatens to settle in the cerebral cortex after just a few listens.
