Musicians, singers and groups have traveled from Austria, Bavaria, South Tyrol and Switzerland to face an expert jury - and maybe even win the coveted Herma Haselsteiner Prize. From Switzerland, the Streichmusik Vielsaitig, the Echo vom Gerstgarten, the Striichmusig Dobler, the Kapelle Gontner Loft, the Duo Flurina and Madlaina Plattner, the solo yodeler Daria Occhini and the Toggeburger Meitle Musig are taking part. They have all prepared well and are excited by so many young like-minded people who are meeting in the Tyrolean capital to celebrate their shared hobby: folk music. In addition to the jury presentations, there is a lot of music in the old town, dance events - and of course the gala evening, where the groups and singers who receive an award from the jury can perform.
