How to find a job in Data Science if you don't have any work experience yet? Is it worth spending time on Kaggle? What path should a data scientologist take to become a junior, middle, and senior? On October 21, 2018, the Open Data Science community meeting was held at the Yandex Moscow office. We tried out a new format: the program was not defined in advance, but was compiled based on audience requests. We collected more than 500 applications from participants and answered the most popular and interesting questions. Valery Babushkin Graduated from the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, studied infrared spectrometry, then worked at Otkritie Bank. He currently holds the position of Head of the Innovative Analytics and Modeling Department at X5 Retail Group, and is also a consultant at Yandex and a visiting professor at the National Research University Higher School of Economics.
