Hey! The day has come when I'm going to the peak I've been dreaming about for a long time. This is my first ascent with full belay. The Żabi Konia Ridge is rated IV; short and very exposed, it provides unforgettable experiences. Thank you to Tomek and Sebastian for helping me belay :)! Ad. introduction to the film: ! In October 2022, planning another ridge in the Tatras, I decided to go to Wierch pod Fajki, which is reached by a short route rated II. There are two descents on the route, I had climbing shoes and a rope with me. Everything was going well, I made the first descent, unfortunately at the end, being already not far from the second descent, I ended up on the northern side of the slope. By mistake and poor assessment of the terrain, I got lost and ended up in a place from which there was no exit. At that moment it was still light, if I had been going properly, I would have finished the route without a problem. Unfortunately, I had to use the help of TOPR. I got stuck in very dangerous terrain, rescuers had trouble getting to me. In total, I waited for help for over 4 hours, it got dark, it was cold. I was accompanied by very gloomy scenarios. That day I forgot to take a flashlight with me, but if I hadn't gotten lost, I would have managed to get down long before dusk. A week later I decided to go back there - this time I crossed the ridge quickly and properly, I bypassed the mentioned place by climbing a step rated IV. I published a video of this climb. I didn't mention then what had happened the week before, because I was overwhelmed by the wave of hate and insults from people who had no idea about the situation and were judging, on popular mountain groups. Unfortunately, in the mountains it is easy to make mistakes, often with tragic consequences. I think that anyone who walks a little knows what I'm talking about. It's inevitable. I made a few of them then, fortunately nothing serious happened, and I learned a lesson to be better prepared for solo outings. Maybe I should tell you about it right away - probably - as a warning. However, I'm doing it now, when those emotions are no longer with me, and the opinions of strangers who have probably never even been to that place are indifferent. At the moment, I do not intend to give up on solo expeditions, the spiritual benefits I gain in the mountains are irreplaceable. I set myself bigger and bigger challenges and gain experience. Of course, I do not encourage you to imitate me.
