It's incredible how time flies and 8 years have already passed since I started expressing my love for collector cars and the automotive history of Romania, making these films on the YouTube channel machinistul. Not vlogs, not short films, but real cinematic productions made from the heart, for which I learned to direct, film and edit. I discovered that I can play with images and music to convey a mood, to travel through time, to generate emotions and convey nostalgia. And even though YouTube has become much more populated and more diverse since I started in 2015, my films will never be clickbait, superficialities made to collect views or breaking news dedicated to trendy topics. Especially when it comes to the December 1 anniversary episodes, I always try to give my best and choose the topics carefully. After buses, trucks and AROs, this year we returned to Romania's most important car brand, DACIA. Even though there are still many classic models waiting to become the subject of a film, this time I focused my attention on two CN4s, the latest evolution of the Renault 12 license that the Romanians took from the French in the late 1960s. And not just any CN4s, but some from the limited Dedication series, produced.... I still don't know on what occasion... in the early 2000s. So the guest in this episode is George Lupu, a great lover of Romanian cars, collector, savior and protector of these two Dacia Dedication copies.
