The 8-car Seibu 40000 series 48151F, which left Kawasaki Car in December and was transported by class A, has arrived at Kotesashi Depot and is being kept there. The other day, the 8-car 40000 series 48151F conducted a performance check test run and is preparing to start operation. When I went to Kotesashi Depot this time to check on the 40000 series 48151F, I noticed that there was a door advertisement on it. I didn't know which advertisement was on the door, but according to X's information, it was the Ikebukuro Line type. In other words, the 48151F is expected to operate on the Ikebukuro Line, Toshima Line, Chichibu Line, etc. The business plan for fiscal year 2024 calls for the introduction of three 8-car 40000 series trains, so the remaining two trains will likely be added in the future. This is expected to result in the replacement of the 2000 series, and since it has been decided that the 40000 series 48151F will be introduced on the Ikebukuro Line, it will be interesting to see whether the Ikebukuro Line-affiliated 2000 series will be transferred to the Shinjuku Line and one Shinjuku Line 2000 series train will be scrapped, or whether one Ikebukuro Line 8-car 2000 series train will be scrapped as is.
