Memories of good teachers On October 3, 2019, teacher training celebrated its 110th birthday at Graz's Hasnerplatz. On this occasion, we once again asked the question of what makes good teachers. HS-Prof.in Mag.a Dr.in Barbara Pflanzl, university professor for teacher training and professional research at the Styrian University of Education, explains different approaches from a scientific perspective and Styrian personalities talk about teachers who have positively influenced or even shaped them, not only with their specialist knowledge and didactic competence, but often far beyond that. Interview partners: Nora Schmid, artistic director of the Graz Opera, em. Univ.-Prof. Mag. DDr. Helmut Konrad, university professor for contemporary history, University of Graz, Mag. Hubert Patterer, editor-in-chief and managing director of the Kleine Zeitung, Barbara Frischmuth, writer, Viktoria Aldrian, student teacher at the PH Styria.
