The trend started 25-30 years ago and has strengthened. Many large Swedish companies are disappearing from the country, such as Volvo PV and Scania. Why has it become so? That is the theme of this edition of Veckomagasinet, where Lennart Ekdal talks to two people who have written books on the subject, business veteran Lars Bern and researcher Sophie Nachemson-Ekwall. In the program, Lars Bern, among other things, attacks old Volvo leader Pehr G Gyllenhammar. "If he [Gyllenhammar] hadn't screwed up in the passenger cars, Volvo PV would still have been a Swedish company. And a more successful company than BMW," says Lars Bern. Lars Bern's book is called: Why are our crown jewels disappearing. Sophie Nachemson-Ekwall's book is called: Hostile bids.
