#YACHT #ISLAND #SAILING The VB002 is heading for an island! In this vlog you can see that I am leaving the home port together with Mignon and her dog and of course not to forget ChiKo. We are heading towards the island of IJsselmonde. You may not know it at all but it is the area between Dordrecht and Rotterdam. So close to home but it is a very nice round trip. I have been invited by 'Ontdek IJsselmonde' to show it to you. Sailing out of the port is always a bit difficult because they are working on the bridge passage, but fortunately I am doing well. We are heading up the Oude Maas towards the port of Rhoon. That is where we want to make our first stop. A few large barges are passing by that cause high waves and the dogs also have to get used to that a bit. Just before we enter the port we pass the Rhoonse Grienden. An incredibly beautiful area full of pollard willows, birds and tidal differences. Once we have moored the boat and eaten something, we will go and have a look with the dogs. In the evening we will go into the area with the VB003 to see if we can spot beavers. Mingon is crazy about beavers and has only seen a pair twice in her life. We leave just before sunset. With the evening light and the sound of the many birds around you, you will imagine yourself in a magical environment. Whether we managed to spot beavers, you will of course see in this vlog.
