The DSM, Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, is one of the most widely used tools by psychiatrists around the world. It classifies about 400 disorders, each of which describes the diagnostic criteria and presents the symptoms from the observer's point of view. What follows is, instead, a description of the moods and subjective experiences of Depressive Disorder and Anxiety Disorders, in particular Panic Attack Disorder, from the point of view of those who suffer from them.
