From Oberstdorf we took the Nebelhornbahn to the middle station. From there it goes uphill towards Rubihorn. There are wonderful views again and again. At the top of the ridge you have the option of walking to the Gaisalphorn. We continue to the Rubihorn. From there we go downhill again towards Gaisalpsee and further towards Gaisalpe.
