Elena Di Cioccio, actress and radio and television host (formerly of Iena), currently an afternoon speaker on Rai Radio2, presented her autobiography “Cattivo sangue” at the Catania Book Festival, a book in which she recounts her difficult life (difficult family situation, drug addiction, toxic relationships) but above all reveals to the entire world that she has been HIV positive for 21 years (she is now 48). She had already given the news in a special announcement on Iene a few months ago and the news shocked the world of Italian entertainment. She does not have AIDS but has been undergoing treatment for some time. In this interview we talked about the themes recounted in the novel: the relationship with the disease kept secret, the fall, the rebirth. Above all, the liberating power of sharing, the true “cure” from any illness that afflicts us. Enjoy!
