We will remember his remarkable life destiny, the greatest discoveries that literally changed the course of the world, as well as the legacy for his followers, including Albert Einstein. Jiří Podolský graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the Charles University, where he has been working continuously since then, now as a professor at the Institute of Theoretical Physics. He deals with general relativity and quadratic gravity, especially solutions to Einstein's equations, gravitational wave theory in cosmology and black hole models. He has published more than 100 original works and is the co-author of two scientific monographs. In addition to research and teaching, he has been dedicated to popularization for a long time. He has translated 16 books, holds lectures for high school students and the public. Several dozen of his lectures can be viewed on YouTube on the documentary channel LLionTV.
